Design Experience

At Indepak, we design all types of packaging for high-volume food manufacturers including clamshells, packaging trays, and custom tubs…with or without lids. Our precision machinery and decades of experience provide us with the capability to form even the most complex trays in a highly consistent and uniform manner.

Material Specification Experience

Our experienced staff will work with you to ensure that materials and processes specified for your application will comply with GMP for direct contact food packaging. Some of the common materials specified for food packaging are PET, PP, HDPE, HIPS, OPS and PVC – all of which we have the equipment and experience necessary to produce.

If you need MAP packaging, we will work with your lidding supplier to ensure material compatibility.

We can also utilize anti-fog materials.

Food Preservation Experience

If you’re selling perishable goods, Indepak can work with your team to design packaging that can actually extend your product’s shelf life. Our experience in lidded packaging and understanding of barrier film applications for creating modified atmosphere packaging has proven invaluable to many of our clients.

We have helped design packages that keep food products fresh and safe for longer than with other packaging materials – allowing our clients to reduce food waste and expand distribution.

Certified

At Indepak, we have earned FSSC 22000 certification – an ISO-based food safety certification program, recognized by Global Food Safety Initiative. These specifications were created to improve food safety at a global level and we apply these exacting standards when we create your custom food packaging.

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)

Indepak operates in accordance with GMP standards – the basic U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulation set forth to ensure manufacturers are proactive in developing safe and effective products.

Many of the packages and trays that we make for our clients in the food industry utilize automated equipment that require tighter tolerances or specifications that other thermoformers struggle to meet.
